The woman died when she was five of ovarian cancer. She and her father never got along very well. She was fifteen when he remarried and moved to America. She spent the rest of her school holidays with her grandmum. She rarely speaks to her father. Personal History: Daisy grew up in a decent neighborhood in Dublin. She and her father weren't rich, but they weren't poor either. Missing out on having a mother for much of her childhood left her as quite the tomboy, and when she arrived at Hogwarts it seemed she was destined to be better friends with boys than girls. Her father was rather disappointed when she was sorted into Hufflepuff rather than his old house, Gryffindor, and that was only the beginning of the end of their good father-daughter relationship. She was a popular girl in school. She had more guy friends than girl friends, but she definitely had a healthy social life. She wasn't discriminative against houses. If she wanted to make a friend in Slytherin and that friend didn't mind that she was a halfblood, she wasn't afraid to cross the lines dividing the houses! She made Keeper on the Hufflepuf team her second year and played all the way through school. Her grades were decent, not spectacular, but not bad either. She graduated right in the middle. Right out of school, she knew she wanted to write. Unfortunately there were very few positions for "Great British Novelist" open and she didn't land any of them. Instead, she decided to set off on an adventure, to research for a nonfiction book. She would give up magic for a year and write about the experience. Saying goodbye to her magical friends and her wand, she integrated herself into the Muggle world of London. At first it was one big adventure after another. She learned how to drive a car, how to handle muggle money, how to pay rent on an apartment, how to bartend to MAKE rent on the apartment. She was getting tons of material for story ideas. And then she met Michael. MIchael was a charming, 20-something "businessman" who lived in Daisy's building. He invited her to a party one night and that party was the beginning of the end. She was used to alcohol and had even smoked marijuana a couple of times, but there was a drug at this party she'd never experimented with. Curious and ready for more research, she snorted a line of cocaine in the bathroom. The first one, as always, was free. For the past four (out of six) months of her research, she's rarely been sober. Her year with muggles isn't up yet, but she's returning to the wizarding world with a new habit and new means of supporting it. She's living with Michael now, working for him as a dealer to ensure that she has a steady supply. She has a collection of chaotic notes from her research but nothing resembling a book. Instead she's been writing songs and selling them to muggle and magical music acts. She claims she isn't an addict. She only uses because she wants to and she can stop whenever she wants. If you aren't very close to her, you might not even notice. As long as she's got the drug in her system, she seems pretty normal. Energetic, talkative, happy. Sometimes she has severe mood swings, epescially when she's on the downward end of a high. She's lost quite a bit of weight, but she attributes that to having such a busy life while she was among the muggles? Michael is controlling and often mean, but he's never hit her or anything. She's just an employee/sometimes girlfriend who was spending too much on his product to keep her place, so he lets her live with him in exchange for her working for him. Criminal activities are always undertaken cautiously. She uses an alias-- Maggie Miller --and heavy glamour work, which is one of her specialities. Her most recent criminal exploit was passing off a fake rendering of a famous wizarding painting as the real deal, landing her thousands of galleons, most of which she's spent. | |||||||||
